West Coast Mommy Song

We love Aiden's mommy song! The kids had me play it over and over for them so of course we had to post their reaction for everyone. Keep the hits coming Aiden!

Another Hike!

Everyone that is close to me knows how much I love to hike especially out here in Utah with all the great places to see. I want to start training three of my favorite people in the whole world to share in this love of mine so I took them out on a little hike behind the house at the base of Shinob Kibe. There are some perfect little beginner trails that weave up and down giving me info on how each of the kids would manage so I can plan some fun places for us to explore this next year. Caleb was our fearless leader who blazed the way for us and was very good about helping Claire up some of the steeper inclines. I wasn't sure how Carson would fare with his little legs, but he always reminds me that his spunk more than makes up the difference. He would get mad at me if I tried to help him up the larger hills and he preferred to crawl to the top rather than have me carry him up. Claire did very well and she pretty much stayed up with Caleb in the lead. It was perfect weather and the kids were so good it was hard for us to turn around and come home. Here are a few pictures from our evening.

Hiking Shinob Kibe

So behind the house, there is a large plateau by the name of Shinob Kibe. We thought it would be fun to hike and spend the afternoon getting a different perspective of Washington and St George. So the group included Tom, Rod, Catherine, Jeanne, Jacob (Jeanne's son) and myself. The hike is pretty steep and took us about an hour after many breaks to catch my breath. We were rewarded with a great view of the surrounding city, the tops of Zions National Park and Sand Hollow Resevoir.

Time to Blog

Ok, so its been a little while since my last post. It is kinda hard to sum up the last few months, but here goes. I have continued to see a lot of Utah the last few months thanks to Jeanne and Tyler taking me under their wing to some of their family events. Jeanne's mom lives in Logan which is on the opposite end of the state way up by Wyoming and Idaho. We went over Labor Day weekend to spend a few days with her family and to go 4-wheeling in some of the prettiest country around Bear Lake. We went to a spot which had a monument to Ephriam who was a huge bear that was killed in the early 1900's because he kept messing with farm animals. This piece of rock is as large as the bear stood. Not something I would want roaming in my backyard!

Here are some other pictures around Logan...we went 4-wheeling up on the bluffs and wound up with some amazing views that just cant be captured through a camera.

Fun with the Family

I had a nice surprise this morning when I received a call from Eliza asking if I wanted to hang out with them today. They treated me to a fun time playing miniature golf and later a great meal poolside. Here's a few pics of our day....

Fun Day!

Eliza and I had a fun day a few weeks ago taking the kids to a park which had a lot of antique tractors and a petting zoo. Claire was all about the lambs and the horse at the petting zoo while Caleb and Carson were all over the tractors. It was way fun watching the kids have a good time while trying to snap pictures to remember the day. Hope you enjoy!
